I have a question about NYC...(the Plaza)? -

i am writing a story and am wondering if any one knows if there food stands out side the plaza...like ice cream or pretzels. (i was trying to find pictures online but found none to led me to the answer) just wondering! thanks!

Personally, I didn t see really any ice cream stands at all in NYC except for inside Central Park - I saw a few ice cream trucks here and there on 5th Ave but thats it. There tons of the pretzel and nuts vendors and there isn t on anywhere on the pavements or corners of the Plaza but there is one across the street on the corner of FAO Schwartz and the horse carriages perpendicular to that. Hope I helped.

there are food stands on every corner of NYC. im not too sure though because i go every now and then cuz i live far away (in the suburbs). but i think there should be. it would make sense. btw thanks for answering my question =p

You know that the Plaza has been converted to condos, right? Just making sure, because that could potentially change the plot of your story.

There aren t any right outside, but there are some nearby since it s right near Central Park.

Need help with Transportation from NYC to NJ? -

I live in NYC and need to get to 100 enterprise DR, Rockaway, NJ . I ve looked on the NJ transit website but cannot get a clue of how to get there. I would be taking the train or bus in 42nd time square but how do I get to 100 enterprise DR, Rockaway, NJ. Can anyone please help? What is the fastest way to get there. Also I do not have a car so I am relying on transportation.

The train is the best way to go. Take NJ Transit s Morris Essex Line from Penn Station to Dover. Once at Dover take a taxi from the train station to your final destination at 100 Enterprise Drive in Rockaway, NJ.I hope this information is very helpful.Good luck

Driving California I-5 at Christmas Time? -

Hi all, because of work woes this year, I will not be able to drive home until Christmas Eve at the earliest (Thursday, 24th). If anyone has experience of driving from Northern California (San Francisco area) down to Southern California (Los Angeles area) around this time, would you suggest I leave on Christmas Eve or Christmas day (a Friday)? I will be leaving in the morning, probably around 7am, on either day, but need to make Christmas dinner at 8pm. I would just like to minimize the time I am in the car since I will be driving alone and get drowsy on long drives! Which day has been quicker to leave in your experience?

If you have the choice, leave on Christmas day; the roads will be much quieter.People are already at their destination. You will have a good run south on I-5 and if you leave that early - will be there in plenty of time.I find chewing a toothbrush a great help in warding off drowsiness and make several stops to stretch and take a break.

On Christmas Day, I-5 itself is less crowded than the day before. However, when you hit LA, the traffic is very dense. Actually, these days it starts around Magic Mountain. If you leave at 7:00 AM, you ll have plenty of time, although I would recommend leaving even earlier. Be prepared for some major sun in your eyes as you approach I-5. In a perfect world it takes about 5 hours, so stopping to rest/gas up and traffic would add another hour or so. And if you get drowsy, definitely do not drive it at night. There s nothing to break the monotony.

LA has really bad traffic... maybe you can fly instead on the morning of Christmas, driving on or flying christmas eve is not a good idea.

how far is lancaster pennsylvania from monroeville pennsylvania. how far of a drive is it?

if you have the internet you can map this yourself.if you take 76 it is about 226 miles; depends where in each town you are starting and ending though.

3 hours and 39 minutes, according to Google Maps. I found this by going to Google.com, clicking on Maps, then clicking on Get Directions. I typed in Monroeviolle, PA as the start point and Lancaster, PA as the end point. Here are the directions:1.Head northwest on Rosecrest Dr toward N Park St0.1 mi2.Turn right to stay on Rosecrest Dr0.2 mi3.Take the 1st right onto Monroeville Blvd1.5 mi4.Turn left at Center Rd0.3 mi5.Turn right at US-22 BUS E0.5 mi6.Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike/I-76 ramp to Toll RdToll road0.6 mi7.Keep right at the fork to continue toward I-76 E/Pennsylvania Turnpike and merge onto I-76 E/Pennsylvania TurnpikePartial toll road192 mi8.Take exit 247 to merge onto I-283 N toward PA-283/Harrisburg/HersheyToll road0.4 mi9.Take exit 1A to merge onto PA-283 E toward Airport/LancasterPartial toll road27.7 mi10.Take the PA-72/Manheim Pike exit0.2 mi11.Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Downtown/Lancaster and merge onto Manheim Pike/PA-72 S2.0 mi12.Turn right at Fruitville Pike/PA-72 S/N Prince StContinue to follow PA-72 S/N Prince St1.3 mi13.Turn left at W King St0.1 mi

Go to Mapquest.com and fill in the addresses and it will take you exactly. Just from eyeballing it, I would say 3-4 hours. But I m not the great authority.

Moving help? I need to move stuff for cheap? -

I am looking into moving to Arizona (from Nebraska) in January... I want to move just my bedroom stuff, so just a bed, dresser, etc. I dont need a Uhaul, I want just like a trailer or something... What is the cheapest way to go about that?Does anyone know of a good moving company that I can use a trailer, or how much does Uhaul charge for just a trailer to be picked up in Nebraska and dropped off in Arizona. Please give me any advice u have!thanks!

Well, U-Haul also rents trailers you can hook on the back of your truck/car, if your car/truck can handle it. I would call them and ask what your options are:1-800-GO-UHAUL (1-800-468-4285)
