Ive only got half the day from 1pm to late to explore LV strip and downtown. How can i cover most of it? -

I ll love to catch a Production Show at night, experience Fremont lights, Bellagio, the major must see along the Strip and do alittle shopping at 1 of the outlets. Cracking my brain on how it should flow to achieve the most out of my limited time? Advise pls! =) thanks!

Hello S: You may want to call one of the tour companies, and ask about their evening tours. For less than $100. they pick you at your hotel about 4:30 pm. The tour last about 6 hr. This is not your Hollywood tours(on your right we have to the left). They stop and let you off the Mini-bus at Fremont lights for a hr. or so and also hit some of major must sees How many I don t know, give one a call, may stop some of that cracking. (smile)Here are the numbers of two companies that offer evening tours...Grand Tours tele.(702)3685100 Casino Tour Travel...tele. (702)946-5075..Hope they can help you..

Don t bother w/the outlets. Planet Hollywood has a great mall attached to it. And the Fashion Mall is down the street. If you are walking remember that the hotels/casinos are farther away than they look. Do try to get to Freemont Street. The places on the Strip are worth seeing - so try to do as much as possible. Love the Bellagio, Luxor, Venetian and Mandalay Bay - great to see.Hope this helps.

Holy cow, good luck!!! Start down by the Luxor and work your way down towards the Wynn. Get to downtown as soon as it s dark, then catch a 10pm show back at strip. Time for outlet??? There s the Fashion show mall right on the strip.

Forget Downtown and concentrate on Strip. The shows are generally 7 pm and 9:30. You will need to eat so try a buffet. Do the shopping first thing. Just wear a watch and start enjoying, and leave when it is time to leave.

Get a $7 day pass on the deuce (bus) and hop and hop off the bus at different casinos to see the attractions. Also the deuce will take you to fremont street and back.http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/cat.php

pass on a show. and do try to get to fremont street.

Whats so quot;badquot; about Taylor, Michigan? -

So I just moved from Texas and I here all this bad talk about Taylor. I heard the term Taylortucky. I ve seen a few hillbillies, with missing teeth!! lol but seriously the parts of Taylor we are looking to buy a house is one the Allen Park side right off Ecorse rd. The Heritage Park is wonderful. I ve met a few cool people from Taylor, who seem very nice and decent.Where is the so called white trash side at?What areas get the most crime? What area should I stay away from?I came here to get honest opinions about Taylor, of actual people who live there or know enough about. Thanks.....

A lot of that was likely started by people in other towns, such as Ypsi-tucky, Smell-vindale, Stink-ster, Garbage (Garden) City, Wasteland (Westland), Saudi Livonia, and Dearbornistan. It s no worse than any other suburb of Detroit.

i cant tell you i live on the westside of the state by lake michigan

Where are good places to go to on a roadtrip of northern california? -

My friend and I want to go on a road trip to the very tip of california and back (we ll be starting in modesto). Where would be some good places to stop along the way?

This kind of depends on the time of year. During the winter some of the mountain highways are closed as are some of the state parks. Here s what I would do if I had unlimited time and it wasn t winter. I-5 is the only fast road north of Sacramento and really the only one that is reliable in the winter - but there s just not much to see on it.1. From Modesto, head over to San Francisco and see the sights there (better to park outside the city and take BART in)2. Then start heading up the coast on CA-1 for a more scenic drive or US-101 for a less carsick drive. Point Reyes and Fort Ross are worth stops.3. US-101 and CA-1 combine and become very curvy. But Humboldt Redwoods State Park and Redwood National Park are worth stops. Might want to check out Humboldt State University in Arcata to see hippies in their natural environment.4. There are a whole bunch of state parks along the coast as well as private campgrounds, but not too many Motel 6 s.5. At the very tip of California is the Smith River, the only river in the state that does not have a dam.6. Then I d take CA-199 (not advisable in snow) up to Grant s Pass, OR and get on I-5 heading south. Shasta Dam north of Redding is worth the tour. There are a lot of houseboats on Shasta Lake if that interests you.7. Then I might take one of the back highways like CA-44 east to go see Lassen Volcanic National Park and then head up into the Sierra (bad idea in winter). If you go all the way to CA-395, you can see the backside of the Sierra and the basin and range.8. Then head south on 395 to Reno, NV and see the sights there. Then head south a little further to Carson City, NV. The NV state capitol and museum are worth touring.9. Then head back to Tahoe on US-50. Circle the lake if you want (again, not going to happen in winter) and then head back down to Sacramento on US-50 or I-80.10. In Sacramento, the highlights are the state capitol building tour, Old Sacramento/Railroad Museum, and Sutter s Fort. Then hop on CA-99 and you re back to Modesto!

Is San Francisco the most beautiful city in the world? -

I m italian but i used to live in San Francisco (now i live in Arcata),and i think SF is the most beautiful city in the world, people are friendly, the bay is one of the most wonderful place all over the world, and there is a magic athmosphere who make me feel so good (in Italy i ve always felt so wrong). All the blocks are so beautiful,Chinatown,Presidio,Castro,Nob Hill,Pacific Heights,Marina,ecc....in Milan (when i ve lived for 23 years) there aren t this beautiful places, blocks are urban and gritty (much much worse than The Tenderloin, who seems a residential area in comparison).Only the weather is not very well, and the car parking are so expensive!!!BUT......I LOVE SAN FRANCISCO!!!Do you agree that is the most beautiful city in the world?

Have you SEEN Havana? ;)Zurich, Damascus (Old Damascus, anyway), Marseilles, etc... Not to mention smaller/non-major cities , many of which are WAY more beautiful than any of the above!

Iv e Been to many parts of the U.S and world and seen all types of cities and countries but CALI has it all, S.F is nice, San Diego is nice too, visit Santa Barbara and you ll agree CALIFORNIA is King. When you mention your from the U.S to a Foreigner they say what part and if that part is not California they are not too interested.

San Francisco is certainly beautiful. But Milan, Paris, etc. are also very beautiful. Milan also has better dressed ppl. Much of the SF population (including women) wear black Old Navy hoodies, jeans and ski caps. Yuck.

Thank you - having only traveled vicariously through books and film and never lived in other places, I find your information interesting. I m sure you are a beautiful person, that s why you like SF.

I m not going to disagree... Saying that one city is more beautiful than any place else is totally subjective, but SF certainly IS beautiful, and much moreso than most other major cities.

Probably not the most beautiful in the world, but definitely the most beautiful in the USA!

one of the most beautiful cities in America and one I love living close to and working incertain cities in Austria and Italy are breathtaking as well

Hmm...I think Edinburgh (The capital of Scotland) could give S.F a run for it s money.

I think it is. SF is my favorite city. There is nothing else in the world like it.

LOL! The most beautiful city in the world?..........NO!

Never been there, but it looks nice on television.

absolutely not

i agree dont ya LOVE San Francisco!

Well, definitely SF can be captivating and a daily reward for someone who lives from the heart and who believes that aesthetics is an essential ingredient in determining quality of life. I have lived in SF for many years. Not now, as I am taking a much needed break from California. Two things you did not mention: 1) the general sense of respect for human beings, including those who are troubled or somehow disadvantaged. There are many people who are living on the margins and they are a daily presence. But iI think they know that being in SF is better than other places (such like LA, which can be a pretentious rat race).2) the atmospherics of SF s unique weather. I have always had a deep fascination with the fog as it can be strikingly beautiful in the most unexpected way. I will suggest to you two beautifully photographed videos on Vimeo which manage to capture some of the magic of SF and the Bay Area in general.http://www.vimeo.com/hd#7260115andhttp://www.vimeo.com/hd#6601409PS: I have lived also in Rome and in Seattle and I think both are exceptional places.

I have grown up and lived in SF Bay Area all my life and I admit, I doubt I will ever leave this area of California. Unfortunately, as the cost of living here rises, so does the pretentiousness of the residents! But speaking architecturally and weatherwise, it s a gorgeous place to visit and live. However, I also found Seattle to be so beautiful, but the weather from November-April is just so dark that I don t think I could live there. NY (Manhattan and surrounding areas) is also beautiful, diverse and full of energy. Also -- Boulder, Colorado is another beautiful place; very sunny even when there s snow! I think the most beautiful city in the world is the one where you feel most at peace.
