New Jersey Transit 7-day ticket? -

what would be the CHEAPEST way to get from newark airport to penn station, ny every day for a week? is there something like a 7-day ticket for nj transit? I haven t found anything on the website

You do mean NY Penn, right? There is also a Penn Station in Newark. I ll assume you mean NY Penn.NJ Transit does not have weekly tickets from Newark Int l Airport station to anywhere. They do have a monthly at $154.00 to NY Penn station. The cheapest (but not the most direct or shortest) way to get from Newark Airport is to take NJ transit to Newark Penn station ($7.75 (this includes the AirTrain fee)), then take the PATH train ($1.75) to Journal Square, transfer across the platform to the 33rd St train to the last stop. That will let you off at 33rd St Broadway/6th Av (one block from NY Penn). This method could take 45 minutes(+/-) not including waiting for the train at Newark Int l station. That totals $9.50 one wayAs a comparison, NJ Transit train direct from Newark Int l Airport to NY Penn would cost $15.00 one way (includes the AirTrain fee) but would only take about 27 minutes (+/-) not counting waiting for the train.

You could use the NJ Transit 62 bus to Newark Penn and then take the New Jersey Transit train heading for New York City.http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/t0062.p Rail monthly passes will be interchangeable on bus and light rail services for trips of equal or lesser value, enabling customers to take a train to work in the morning and have the option of taking a bus home in the evening at no additional charge. NJ TRANSIT monthly or weekly rail passes, imprinted with a zone number, can be used for any light rail trip at no additional charge during the period it is valid.
