How much money would it cost to drive from Chicago to Tampa? -

Depends. Obviously it would cost you less to drive a smart car than say a Tahoe? I drove from Denver, CO to Grand Rapids, MI which is about exactly the same and I spent less than $250 in gas my van gets close to 20 mpg highway.

bicycle, moped, motorcycle, unicycle, skateboard, scooter,s car, mid size, large car, limo, bus, rv,4 cylinder,6cylinder 8cylinder,12cylinder,hybred,pick up truck, mack truck, mini van, van, cube van, dune buggy?

I live in Tampa and drive up there often to see family and it runs me about 125-150 dollars in gas alone, but i do drive a honda civic so i get like 32 mpg and i know exactly where im going.

Alot depending if u drove all the way or stopped to sleep...it can cost about $500 in gas alone so...figure the rest out

Im 24, can I rent a car in New York, New Jersey or, Connecticut? -

I m flying into JFK, where I m from you have to be 25 to rent a car, and I m 24. I m visiting Harvard and Yale and would prefer to get a rental car if I can get one. First, can I get a rental car in NYC at 24? If not, can I get one in New Jersey or Connecticut?

I copied this from the Dollar Car Rental site. http://www.dollar.com/AboutUs/GeneralPolB. Driving Age: The minimum age to rent a vehicle at most locations in the United States and Canada is 21 years of age. Please refer to the Local Policies for specific information on driver ages at the location where you intend to rent and the applicable charge for drivers 21 to 24 years of age.Originally I went to Thrifty who has the same policy as Dollar, but the website at JFK said Thrifty does not operate at JFK and they referred me to dollar. What you really need to do is go to the car rental websites and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to the fine print. They all have a small list of site options and Policies or General Policies are among them. Click there. What it will eventually come down to is you calling the company at that precise location and confirming they follow the national policy of letting 21-24 year olds rent a car. You will pay an extra fee of up to $40 per day. They will also run a DMV check on your driving record.

Actually you can rent a car in NYC if you re over 18. However as another poster mentioned the rental company can add a surcharge to your bill http://www.nytimes.com/1997/03/28/nyregi

you can rent a car in ny if u are 18 years or older but you will have surcharges that can make it cost you over 100 dollars a day.

IF there were a passenger train between Detroit and Grand Rapids, would you ride it? -

If so, how often?I m not talking about a bullet train, at least not for starters. I m just thinking of rerouting the Amtrak train which goes from Chicago to Grand Rapids to cross the state, possibly stopping in such places as Ionia and Lansing before going to Pontiac and becoming the train back to Chicago. Would there be any PHYSICAL barriers to this? I understand that there would be a fiscal challenge, but it would likely be easier to overcome if the trains could run such a route.

No, when I talk to people from Grand Rapids, they either want to go to Chicago or Detroit but there! So I wouldnt ride it, but i am sure the train service will be helpful to people from Grand Rapids.

I think you an excellent idea personally and, if I still lived in Michigan and, they did that, I would probably find myself riding a train from Detroit to Grand Rapids every so often. Not to mention it would be great for those who live in the Detroit area and, commute back and forth to Lansing all the time and vice versa.

No - I have no reason to go there. However, I have an issue with train service in MI. The problem is we have little or no infastructure to facilitate travel to and from a train station. That is, while I LOVE trains, say I take one to GR. Then what? I can walk or call a cab. Taxis can be costly and are not widely used at this time. So if we have trains we need to have better connection options.

probably notI have no reason to visit Grand Rapids

Michigan is planning to make a commuter train from Ann Arbor to Detroit and vice versa, that would be nice. As for Grand Rapids, only people from Grand Rapids would benefit from that, Detroit is the main biggest city in all of Michigan, everything happens if its going to happen in the city of Detroit. So there really is no incentive for people to travel to Grand Rapids, but there should be a faster rapid train system between Detroit and Chicago and even Detroit and New York City, which would be great.Honestly though, Michigan might as well have the best highway system in the whole country, I traveled around a lot by car, and Michigan by far has a very nicely patterned highway, especially around Detroit, probably why the city is the Motor City. But even if there was a train to Grand Rapids, I would rather just drive.

Is the Indiana Flea Market open this weekend? -

Where is the best place to live in florida? -

It depends on what your needs are and what you re going to be doing for work. I ve lived in Jacksonville for the past 13 years. It s more of a working person s town than a tourist-y place---in fact it s developed a bit of a complex as being the place people blow through on their way to Orlando and Daytona and points farther south. It hasn t been hit as badly by the housing bust as some of the cities in Florida. It has some big hospitals and manufacturing, as well as a port and is near a Naval base. I ve been in work most of the time since I ve lived here. If you re conservative it s a good place to be--it s got more churches than you can shake a stick at and the political attitude is pretty much to the right. It is not a glamorous place, but you know what they say about dull places--that s where people want to raise families. On the other hand, there is an artsy crowd here, several local artist groups and an Art Walk that takes place in the evening every first Wednesday of the month. You might have heard that it s the murder capital of the country--but there are certain zip codes you just want to avoid living in. You ll also hear that the primary education scene is kind of dismal, but that s the whole state and it needn t touch you if you get your kids in a magnet school or a private school, which are legion around here.

if you are a party bomber i would say Panama City, FL that place look like a beach party.if you want to live in a place with a beautiful beach view i would say Key West, FL the beach are beautiful.if u want to live in a place with a lot of amusement parks and near to a space station (Kennedy Space Center) then Orlando FL is your chose.

orlando or tampa

How bout living in vegas? -

thinking of re-locating to LasVegas looking for as much information as possible such as homes and employment

Vegas is a wonderful place to live - like everywhere it is what you make of it. If you are thinking of buying this is the place to be homes are plentiful and deals are out of this world.Employment however is more difficult. Your best bet will be any new companies popping up if you are in the service industry such as cook-waiter etc your odds will be better.Best of luck to you. granmatictac

Employment is nearly non existent. For every single job opening there are 100 well qualified applicants who already live here. Employers would rather hire someone who has lived here for awhile rather than someone who just moved here. Read this web page and it will explain things.

.The current unemployment rate in Las Vegas is 14%.Not the best place for a job prospect right now..
