Is there a cheap way to get from Philadelphia to Binghamton? IM broke, in college, and have no car!? -

I m not even sure if there is a bus route directly from Philly to Binghamton. You may have to go to NYC on the bus and then transfer, and that will take a long time. There is direct air service via US Airways from Philly to Binghamton, but that can be costly. Good luck.

In New York, what is the best city to live in? -

a city that is nice and clean with friendly people, just a great environment =]I will be going to college in NY City/ New York in fall 2010.please tell me if you live in NY, where in NY and if you like it there =]

file for an invitation

Manhattan of course. That s where all the nice restaurants, hotels, clubs, stores and museums are. But it is expensive to live in the city. Are you asking which district to live in Manhattan? Like Lower East Side or Greenwich Village? My favorite place to live in NYC would be Upper West Side near the museums. I have a relative who lives there and taking walks in Riverside Park with the dogs at night is really nice. If you have money, Soho would be a nice choice to live also. Congrats on getting into college and I m sure you ll love it here.

I live in NYC, and it s nice here definitely for a college student. You would not want to be anywhere else. But if you don t want the hustle and bustle (then why come to NY), then Staten Island is a great alternative because it s quieter and more peaceful, more nature-type stuff to do, with the nicest beach in New York City s 5 boros

Upper West Side is the best, but extremely expensive! I would recommend somewhere in Brooklyn.btw, all the 5 boroughs r one city.

Manhattan.New York is the most amazing city in the world.

Well if your getting an education in NYC, your parents are loaded. Stay where the rich live...across from Central Park!

go to upstate new york ! yhu DONT Wanna be in any of the lower.lolnew york is filty place btw

anywhere that is not in or near NYC

How many postage stamps from tx to chicago? -

thank you :)

more than likely just one stamp will do it

Postage rates within the US are based upon the weight of the item sent and the speed it is to go, not on how far it is going. The price is, therefore, the same for a package or a letter going across the country as it would be to send it across town.

1 ounce...which is usually defined as 2-3 pieces of paper in an envelope, will be one stamp.

It depends on the package...If it is a normal letter...it will be just the one postage stamp

If it is one ounce, it will cost one stamp.

If Spain used to own California, why cant Californian Residents move to Spain? -

The same reason that Louisiana residents can t move to France even though France used to own Lousiana. It doesn t anymore.

California was indeed part of the territories that Spain originally claimed when they explored the Americas, then when Mexico became an independent country California used to be part of Mexico. Then the U.S. came and took that land along with most of New Mexico and Texas which also were part of Mexico. Californian residents have not been Spanish since the moment the land was not part of Spain. They were Mexicans first. Now the are Americans. About moving to Spain, I would ask WHY? would they need or have to move to Spain? So many generations have gone by that I don t think people living in California have any kind of feeling of nationalism towards Spain. Mexico is a different case. Many residents in California are either Mexican or people of Mexican descent. I guess they might want to move back to Mexico but I don t think they would want to do that because they probably have better conditions of living in California.

Because Spain no longer owns California.

i m from the uk, am packing my bags for california now!

What is the best place to live in the USA - According to these specifications? -

I have horriable allergy problems! I currently live in Wisconsin, and I m not a big fan of too much heat. Okay with cold, but not freezing tempatures. The Fall is my favorite season. Is there such a place where it s fall and light winter all year around, with low allergens?

I would go to Colorado personally

There is no place in the USA where it is fall and light winter all year round. However, I find wheneeever I go to Las Vegas or Phoenix, my nasal passages dry right up. And here in Orange County CA it is good though not quite as good.. I find that dryness is a big factor with allergies and the desert or the LA/San Diego areas are pretty good for people with allergies. Therefore, I say to consider Phoenix or the like.

other than the south west not many places with out pollen pine and oak is high maybe the north west plains pollen would be short lived and the wind would blow it out quickly. sorry good luck

The Alaskan panhandle, Juneau, Ketchican etc.

Where can I go ice fishing in the US? -

We re travelling from Minnesota to Colorado and back up through Illinois and Wisconsin in January. I m guessing it ll be cold enough but is there anywhere we can do it?If you post a link to a site then you ll get the best answer an 10 points.

Below is link to THE resource for everything ice fishing. There are message boards for all topics including state specific area. Be prepared to spend a few hours on this website. It will hook you. (pun intended)

My parents lived near Duluth Minnesota and my Dad iced fish there. I m sure anywhere in Minnesota though would be good, there s a thousand lakes all iced. Sorry I didn t post you a site, but do a search and you ll find plenty.

Depending on how cold the winter gets, they often have ice fishing on Georgetown lake in Colorado. Contact the Ranger station for info on winter ice fishing conditions (303)655-1495. http://www.kansasangler.com/coreport.htm
