Would you like to see more sculptures in Chicago? -

Like, just more sculptures and statues all over, on street corners, etc.? Statues of different Chicago icons, like Oprah?

No. There are a lot of ugly sculptures in Chicago. Just check Daley Plaza. A sculpture of Oprahwould be the worst thing that could happen, she is a disgusting pig.

No and Yes.No to iconic sculptures like you are talking about unless they are done tastefully. TV Land has sponsored tv inspired statues all over the US. On Michigan Avenue there used to be a Bob Newhart scuplture with a couch but I inderstand this caused too many pedestrian flow back ups. The statue is now located in the fountain park across from Navy Pier. An Oprah statue in the West Loop neighborhood near Harpo Studios would make sense.I would prefer more public works art like the Picasso and Miro, the Flamingo and the Calders in the Sears Tower, the bat column in front the the Harold Washington Building on Madison. And don t forget the newest Chicago Icons - Cloud Gate aka The Bean and the faces of Crown Fountain. These are outstanding works that have made Chicago a world wide attraction. More of those are certainly a good thing.

In a word, no. Especially Oprah.

No

no way, but if they were to do any they should do one in honor of Anton LaVey

No, i don t want to trip over them.
