Which months out of the year does it snow in New York? -

It can snow anytime between the middle of October to the Beginning of May.Usually, the worst storms hit NYC in December, January, February and early March. For instance, the storm in 1993 hit in March, and the blizzard of 96 hit us in January. We ve also had snowstorms on or near Easter, on Thanksgiving, Valentine s day, ect.

In Upstate NY, it can snow anytime from November through April. Every now and then, there is some snow in October and May as well. In 1987 we had a freak snowstorm in early October that knocked down trees and power lines. Many communities were without power for a week or more. And I remember one year in the mid-70 s we had some snow on Mother s Day.

We don t really get a lot of snow here. when we do, it is cleaned up pretty rapidly so that it is not a great issue. The time period where it is most likely to fall is about mid-January to mid-March.

Usually January to early April, when the weather is a lot colder.Good luck

christmas- right before Easter.
