There might be a few more people heading downtown every day, but things probably wouldn t be much different otherwise.
I think there would be more corruption no offense. It s sad what Kilpatrick did and also what the other Council people did with the bribery over the farm area a couple weeks ago. If there was more money, then the city would have had lots of background things going on and we wouldn t know. Detroit shouldn t be so bad off, have you seen Hazel Park? The buildings are horrible there and the cities in southeast Michigan don t even have enough money to pay for the tree cleanups in the recent snow-wind storms.Maybe the buildings, streets, alleys would be better, maybe there would be more good homes, but I think the city would have been doomed when the big 3 started having problems and we still would be suffering unemployment.
Chrysler used to be located right in Highland Park, so their leaving didn t apparently change much of anything. Ford has been located outside of Detroit even when Detroit was the 4th largest city in the US.
