Where is the prettiest place lt;5 hours from Atlanta to rent a cabin? -

I want to rent a cabin in december (from the 26 to the 4th of january) somewhere near atlanta (no more than 5 hours away). I d love to find some snow or at least some beautiful hills and trails. Any recommendations?

Helen georgia is exactly where you want to go.

Do not go to Helen...it really is a tourist trap and it only takes 1/2 hour to see all the good stuff.I would recommend going to Northern GA. Ammicalola Falls is beautiful and has tons of trails.Blue Ridge is also a nice place with tons of cabins.Big Canoe is also a really neat place with lots to do and really nice cabins.If you are looking for snow, you will have to keep going North to North Carolina.

Western NC, east Tenn and north GA mountains are full of rentals cabins. You better start looking soon because reservations fill fast for the holidays.

Unicoi.It is near Helen,but not a tourist trap. You will also be near the Appalachian trail.

Try Cloudland Canyon State Park in northwest GA, it is near Lookout Mountain.
