How is to live in alachua-florida? -

I live right outside of Alachua in Lake City. Alachua is a snazzy little town but, there is not much there. It is right outside of Gainesville which offers more. Alachua is slow pace and has a suburb feel to it. It is quieter then Gainesville and pretty safe. There are always a lot of people walking downtown and quite a few that bring their dogs with them. They have a tennis court that is always busy. I also always see a lot of people playing basketball. There are some good restaurants in their downtown. For the most part it is clean. However, there are some pretty rough patches as you go down Martin Luther King Blvd. It is not an exciting place and it doesn t have any night life. However, if you want a quiet life and still be near a reasonable sized city then Alachua is not a bad place. If you are career minded and your job is not with the University of Florida or in health care then this is not the place for you.
