If you re willing to drive 8 hours, THE place is Mammoth Lakes. Just google Mammoth Lakes Condo rentals , and you re guarnteed to have snow. There s snow there now, and it s not going to melt until July.http://www.mammothweather.com/webcam.htmhttp://www.alltravelcams.com/mammoth_lakhttp://webcams.org.ua/en/free805-908.htmPS- It s snowing right now!
If you are talking about an eight hour drive - Mammoth Lakes and Sequoia/Kings National Park both easily meet your time/drive requirements.Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort is in Mammoth Lakes so you go skiing and snowboarding, etc.Seqouia should have some snow after the current storm that is coming through right now.My personal choice would be Sequoia/Kings because it is much prettier from a natural perspective than Mammoth and a whole lot less busy with traffic and crowds. Wolverton Ski Resort is in Sequoia. Also Sequoia is much, much, much less expensive. If you are hardy soul you can probably even find winter camping sites.
Arrowhead/twin peaks-pine rose cabinsthey have cute cabins of various sizes with themes and cute scenery. from 2 person to like 20. I m pretty sure it snows. I had lots of fun!answer mine?http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?
Both Mammoth Mountain and Lake Tahoe are within 8 hours (ok Tahoe might be right around 8 hours) and have BEAUTIFUL snow and scenery. Real, powdery snow, not the frozen ice chips of Big Bear and Mountain High.
