How the Hell can I get to Ithaca NY? Revamped? -

I live in Vancouver right now and theres no way in hell my parents would even think about letting me go but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity at an lvy league school with free tuition (assuming I make the team). should i just leave and call them once I m there or should i risk asking them since if they say no they ll know Im trying to get outKeep in mind that my parents are narrowminded african immigrants that have no problem beating me if they don t like what they hear lolI m actually attending a basketball camp that I was invited to by the coaches. Don t have a passport or anything and I have no idea about how I m gonna make it there but if I do, theres probalay a 90% chance I l make it and gain entrance. Student Visa? No idea how to go about any of this please help!!!

Well, first you ll need a passport. Don t know whether you need a visa. But info about passports would be at the Canadian government s official website, I would guess - unless you re talking about Vancouver, Washington, in which case you d go to your local post office. The US State Department s website has info on entrance requirements for the US. Or, perhaps the camp you re thinking about attending has info about that.To get to Ithaca, you d need to fly into Syracuse and then have a way to get down to Ithaca. The camp may provide transportation. You d need a way to pay for air fare, of course.If you re under 18, you probably can t travel without your parents permission.Hopefully, you can convince your parents that this is a wonderful opportunity for you to get an education at a first-rate university.
