Living in delaware..........? -

hiam moving to delaware..wanted to know, whether should i live in delaware or philadelphia.what is the advantage with living in delaware.

No sales tax in Del. and with Joe Biden as VP I m sure Delaware gets attention in DC even though it is a small state, all be it is the first state.

I think the answer depends on two things:1) Where is your job? If the job is in Delaware, you might as well live in Delaware and not deal with the extra taxes and the commute. Don t know where you re moving from, but commutes are bad in this area.2) Do you want to live in the city or the suburbs? If your answer is city, you have to go with Philly as Wilmington is less of a city than a business park (it clears out at 5 pm). If you want to live in the suburbs, the basic experience and quality of life is about the same in southeastern PA as it is in northern DE--it s pretty much all one big suburb of Philly. Both states also have some nice historical towns like West Chester or Newark.Wherever you live, you ll do your major shopping in Deleware. No sales tax really is the best.

That depends on a lot of things that you haven t mentioned.First, what the people have said about taxes in Delaware is true...but their schools suffer because of it. Are you a parent who will be sending their child to school? Then you d be better off searching by schools, because Philly doesn t have a whole lot to brag about in their public schools either.Second of all, there is very limited public transportation in Delaware. You can take a bus to and from, and I believe there s at least one train that leaves for Philly, but outside of that, you re driving. If there s any nightlife at all in Delaware, it s in Wilmington, and I imagine that you can see it all in the span of one night. If you re a quiet or non-social person, then you ll be fine. But if you need a nightlife, stick with Philly.

If you are working in delaware, you should live in delaware. If you live in PA and work in delaware, you get killed in taxes. Delaware has no sales tax.

Delaware has no sales tax, lower real estate taxes, and no city wage tax.Car insurance is also lower (mine dropped over 50% when I left Pennsylvania).
