Can I get a Driver License with a student visa in new york city? -

I m 16 and I m moving in manhattan for two year for studying

You cannot get a license that will allow you to drive in NYC until you are eighteen.A student visa is not enough ID. You must have multiple documents that add up to a certain number of points to get the application fore a license. Some documents that you must have include proof of NYS residency along with birth certificate and SS card. They are suitably strict about this.Besides that, owning a car in Manhattan is cost prohibitive and entirely unnecessary with the finest metropolitan transportation system at your doorstep.

no, you need either an American Social Security card to get a license or an international license, either way it doesn t matter, you have to be 18 years old to get a license in New York City

You don t need a car in Manhattan. So therefore you don t need a license.

nooo im sorry but no you can t....=,(

No. you need to use the driver s license from your country to rent or get a car.
