There are so many best places to visit in San Francisco. The best places in San Francisco are Coit Tower (great view of the city), Twin Peaks (another beautiful view of the city and it s free), Chinatown (the Fortune Cookie Factory is interesting and fun), The Cable Car Museum, San Francisco Zoo, China Beach (for one of the best pictures of S.F.), drive down Lombard Street (very fun driving down the crookedest street in the world), ride a cable car, Alcatraz, Golden Gate Park (has many excellent attractions including the S.F. Botanical Gardens, Buffalo Paddock, and the De Young Museum), Japantown (great atmosphere and shops), Fisherman s Wharf (delicious seafood and plenty of places to buy souvenirs), Pier 39 and The Embarcadero (for shopping). You ll also want to visit Muir Woods, just north of San Francisco for a wonderful nature experience.

Traffic can be hectic but still bearable. Public transport is great! You can always take Bart, ferries, bus, taxi or cable car etc. However, if you don��t have much time or want to travel beyond the city �C I think a car would help a lot. Yes, you have to pay for parking, but save you time to go more places faster..
