What type of coat should I buy for New York in December? -

I m going to New York Dec 1-6 and i m looking to buy a new coat for my trip. Last year I went in November and wore just a regular pea coat. I m thinking of getting this coat because it has thinsulate in it.http://store.delias.com/item.do?itemID=5do you think this will be warm enough? any suggestions?also, last year i went nov 21-28, will the weather be pretty much the same or colder?

Well, December in New York City is not so bad, really. It gets bitter cold in January and especially February, but December s not bad at all. In fact, yes, it will be much like it was when you went in November last time, a little colder, perhaps, but not too bad.Good luck, and the link below is to a fun slideshow webpage about Winter Fashions In New York City from the N.Y. Times website...

Does it have a (permanent or detachable) hood?I suspect you will be out to see the Rockefeller Tree and without a hood, your face may get cold from the night breeze. Here is a guide to dress from head to toe.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETu6knFPr
