What are some tips for moving out of state? -

My husband and i are planning on moving out of state in the near future. ALL of our family lives in Texas, and we live a few states away. We have lived away for almost 6 years. We really miss our family, the time together, etc, and want to move back. When we first moved out of state, it was easy, because we moved with a friend who already had a rental house, and everything was pretty much all lined up together for us. But now, we need to do this on our own. Any tips for moving out of state? We plan on saving enough money for a few months rent, so we can find jobs, etc. Thanks!

Plan on living in a hotel for 3-5 days while you find a home to rent. After you find a home, you will need to focus all your energy on finding a job.
