maybe your schooling was for nothing if you can t even spell what you got a degree in. be like the other millions of people in America and look on monster.com for jobs
Haha you can t even spell your degree... and FYI... people can t find jobs ANYWHERE!! If you want to come to California for a job... good luck... it is one of the hardest hit in the job market... I suggest you do your research and not just go off how Hollywood portrays California... it will only be that much harder to find a job here than where you are.... and it s called spell check... learn it... love it...
depends upon the field you want to get into. Movie/cgi? Video game?Move where the companies are. find job openings in CA for those industries, apply, and move as needed.
Move to a big city like LA or San Diego. And to find out rent there just check out the listing in their local papers or you can go to apartment finder and type in that area (apartmentfinder.com)
First off you might want to try checking out the websites for all of the major production companies that you can think of. Though the rest of the world is in a real hurt, the entertainment industry seems to be doing just fine. I am sure there will be more than one opening in animation with all of the different companies out here....once you find a few openings you d like to apply for start considering cost of living here. Make sure you have your pennies saved! If entertainment is where you want to be, than you re going to need to head to the L.A. area. It gets pretty pricey and you really want to know the area you are moving to. If you don t have at least 3 months of living money saved up, don t go out on your own. Check out those roommate sites! Burbank, Toluca Lake, SoHo, San Fernando Valley, Santa Monica....Nice spots, but they come with a price. You should be able to find a spot to rent in someones house or apartment for a decent price though. And if you can t find a job, but are dead set on moving out here, do it! Whats the worst that can happen, you put a flight on your credit card and go home? At least you tried. I don t have and friends in the entertainment industry anymore, just a friend that was a writer for the West Wing, while it was around....when I wanted to get into acting, she always told me, the best place to start is moving to L.A. Hangout in the trendy spots, make the right friends and network. Find yourself a job, grocery, starbucks, CVS, whatever! Just make sure its a job you can bail on and not worry about. This way you can still apply to the places you want to make it to. Yeah, that may not have been to big of a help. I tried! :) Good luck and I hope it all works out!
