Don t bother taking 4 kids to the Biltimore, they would be bored stupid. It is a beautiful place for quiet getaway for just the 2 of you but there is nothing for kids to do. If you normally go to Maggie Valley, just cross the Smokies into TN and take to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Its less than an hour from Cherokee and there are tons of things for all of you to do. Gatlinburg has the Riply s Aquarium that is really nice and places to play indoor mini golf or laser tag among many other things. Pigeon Forge has Dollywood amusement park, go-cart tracks and lots of family oriented activities. Just search yahoo for Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge and you find plenty of info. Have fun.

Need traveling tips for 4 kids! (NC specific and general ideas welcome!)? -
Need advice on traveling with varied ages (esp Asheville, NC ideas??)?I normally take my two kids - a boy and girl twins (going to turn 9 soon) to Maggie Valley and Cherokee NC for snow tubing and casual fun after Xmas for a couple of days - we do this annually... , we invited my bf and his sons (ages 17 and 14 ) to attend also...BF seems worried his kids might get bored - and I too want to ensure all the kids have a good time... not just mine.. My kids find fun anywhere (much to the dismay or me most times.. lol)So, instead of staying in MV or Cher - which is low-key and not a ton to do...in winter... I thought, well maybe there is more to do in Asheville and that is only an hour or less from where we normally go... I need some ideas that everyone will like. I heard of the Biltimore house but wonder if kids those ages would really have anything to do there... is it more geared toward adults..Anyone have any other ideas? I am open to ALL suggestions - from Asheville, to Maggie Valley and Cherokee...
