Self - employed job in san francisco? -

I ve heard that you can t make a good living in san francisco if you have a 9 to 5 job or in other words if you don t have a college degree then san francisco isn t really the place for you. I m thinking about moving to san francisco and be a self employed professional. My question is that I m thinking about setting up a in home daycare, any locals believe that my business will be a great success in a city such as san francisco?

That s not something to enter into lightly. There are a lot of state and city regulations you should be familiar with, a small amount of training you have to complete, a large amount of liability you open yourself up to, and the biggest stumbling block is that if you don t own your home your landlord will be very unlikely to allow you to run a daycare business from the rental property. Not to dissuade you but it would be easier to find an apartment that allows pets than it would be to find one that would allow you to run a daycare. Move forward with this only after reading everything the state and city websites have to say on the subject. If you can make it work there are a lot of people that need this service but there are a lot of pitfalls.

I agree, you might think childcare is easier.. There are tons of permitts and bylaws to follow or else you will get sue if something happens.
