What is the closest airport to Cape Haderas in North Carolina? -

I am getting married next summer in the outer banks of North Carolina. From what I hear, it would take 4 hours to drive to the islands from the airport. I think they were talking about Roanoke, VA or Raleigh, NC. I am not sure. Does anyone know of an airport closer?

The closest airport to Cape Hatteras is Norfolk, VA. It s about a 3 hour drive.Raleigh-Durham Airport is about 4 1/2 hours. Roanoke is out in western Virginia, about 7 hours away. Not sure who recommended that one.There aren t any airports in the Outer Banks, because the residents don t one. Ironically, when you drive down from Norfolk, you ll drive through Kitty Hawk. Even though Kitty Hawk is associated with the Wright Brothers first flight, the city doesn t have an airport.
