Two things: You need to have a job lined up before you come or enough money to live independently. We have not been hit as hard by the recession, but that doesn t mean jobs are easy to come by.Secondly - there is a forum dedicated to relocation - it s called City-Data.com. Check it out because there are tons of posts on there from people who are moving to Austin and asking questions about best places to live for their particular needs.
