Over the years, I ve met a few of those move and leavers. Here s what I gathered from some of them. They come and leave because some of them had been here on vacation and enjoyed themselves so much, they want to have that life all the time even if they couldn t afford it and/or had so many problems originally, before they moved here, and then became disillusioned with Las Vegas when moving here didn t solve those problems. Or, they wanted to have the same circumstances as those who they might know who already live here and are quite happy; when in fact, they can t have the same circumstances, like not being qualified for good paying jobs, can t afford to buy a home here, etc.Poor planning, not realistic expectations (Las Vegas is Nirvana and all your problems will be gone once you move here), no money, no research on the area, no good paying job, no family here (and you miss them so much!) and just plain stupidity (in some cases) are what make people move here and then leave.EVERYBODY loves Las Vegas and everyone wants to know what goes on here. Its the ultimate feel good place, but a city and valley with all the problems of any typical big city/population area. Sometimes..it s simply just too big a place for some folks to handle. Most of the in and out movers don t realize these things ..
Some people had been there on vacations. After enjoying themselves so much they decides to go back to their places. Some wish to have that life all the time but it will be very difficult for them to afford it.
I lived there for 4 years i came from Ohio i Truly loved it there didn t hate anything about it well yes i did the way people drive. The reason i left was housing market dropped big time and no jobs not to mention the price of everything.....I miss it soooo much i hope some day i can go back i still call it home.
The heat is one, it s a horrific expensive place to live, and it s just not someplace most people want to live forever. Las Vegas is a party city, sin city. I went there on vacation and a week for me was way too long I was ready to go! I probably wont go back for a long time.
For the same reasons people move to and then leave L.A., New York, Nashville, Miami, Chicago, etc.And yes, even Houston - I guarantee plenty of young people in rural Texas think the grass is greener in Houston or Dallas but don t end up lasting a year.It s not just a Vegas thing.
This web page will explain why that happens so much. The main thing is they love to vacation here and people love that feeling. However that feeling leaves quickly when you have to work and live here. Once you live here you avoid the strip at all costs so it isn t fun anymore. Read the page.
