What Boring States??? Which Ones? -

Why is it that people normally say that the midwest states are the boring states? they say that nebraska and iowa only have corn. they say that the rest only have scenery. why do they say this kind of bs when its not true? nebraska has omaha, home of the henry doorly zoo, the college world series, and several other attractions, iowa, home to the bontanical center, adventureland, plus its capital, des moines, is a beautiful city. now the midwestern states aren t any new york, california, or florida, they dont have the ocean, or all the night clubs, or event the upscale theaters, but why do people make judgements that the only thing these states are good for is corn. do u not notice that their are huge cities in the middle of the corn. i think people make assumptions that nebraska and iowa only use their land for corn because when people drive through these states they only see corn, because thats where these states put their farms, by the interstate. but seriously, why does everybody think these states r boring when they haven t even been there but for the little amount of time they spent driving through on the interstate????

Every state in the nation has something unique to offer. To say that any state is boring is a slap in the face to that state s residents. The farmers who grow corn in Nebraska and Iowa work hard to contribute to the nations supermarkets so the rest of the country can have food on the table. I have never been to those two states, but I am sure that I would find modern day growing techniques and the genetic research very far from boring. Also, I cannot believe that corn is all there is to offer there.

A State might not be Boring, just because it doesn t have: Amusement Parks, Huge Cities, Beaches, or Mountains. Whatever you want is what you want. People have different tastes, like me for Example, I grew up in North Pole, Alaska with Mountains, Pine Trees, and Lakes. I moved to Eminence, Missouri and am surrounded with Hills, Willow Trees, and Rivers, I hate it. But, that is cause I grew up with the Opposite. Somebody might not think something is necessarily Boring, just not what they are used to.
