Where to live? Must have trees and water!? -

My husband and I are thinking of relocating and want to move to a place with lots of trees and water (preferably a creek or lake) to raise our family. We don t mind a little bit of snow and really dislike hot weather. We would like to be out in a woods a little bit but still close to civilization. Affordable housing would be good too! Any suggestions?

Minneapolis (City of Lakes), Minnesota fits your description the best. The city is abundantly rich in water with over twenty lakes and wetlands, the Mississippi river, creeks and waterfalls, many connected by parkways in the Chain of Lakes and the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway. The average yearly temperature is 45.4 F, so you have chill weather thru the year. There are a few occasional hot and humid days during the summer. Arts and Sports are abundant and the city is only second to New York for live theatre arts plays. The Grand Rounds Scenic Byway extends for, roughly, 50 miles and offers the best parks system in the country. Good Luck!
