Miami, FL . Seriously. Yo do not want to go to some cold God-forsaken wasteland covered with snow. Trust me, I live in one (central Massachusetts) The cold hurts, and the snow is nothing but trouble. And if you get hit by a winter storm, your trip is ruined, especially if you don t know how to drive in the white sh*t. Do yourself a favor and come to the northeast in the summer when it is warm and there is stuff to do.
The Mount Washington Valley centered in North Conway NH is pretty good place to find snow and other amenitieshttp://www.mtwashingtonvalley.org/One warning :If you re coming up I-93 ,Rt 112 from Lincoln to Conway NH -aka the Kancamagus Highway- is a gorgeous road thru the woods in summer however in winter in should be approached with caution and if you have any doubts continue north to US 302 and take that back to N.ConwayLake Placid and Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks of NY are also goodThen there is Waitsfield VTWhere are you starting from ?
You should make a trip across the border to Ottawa, Canada.They have Winterlude going on where you can skate on the longest skating rink in the world... (frozen canal). They have great festivities and ice/snow sculptures too....And lets not forget the Beavertails...yummy pastry deep fried and sprinkled sugar and cinnamon. YUMJust a thought.
