Well it depends on what part of Queens you are talking about. If I were to live in Queens, I would live in Ridgewood, Glendale, Middle Village or something near those neighborhoods.I would not live in Long Island City and Astoria since the neighborhoods are being ruined by gentrifcation. I am 100% against gentification and then those two neighborhoods are full of stupid yuppies that don t belong here in NYC.I like Harlem as well. It s a nice neighborhood. Plus from there, is near El Barrio ( I love El Barrio) and a short subway ride to the Bronx and Yankee Stadium.Unlike other people here, at least I appreciate areas outside of the best neighborhoods in Manhattan.Edit* to drewluke, since when is Long Island City outside of New York City?
Well, that s kind of like asking Would you rather have a poke in the eye, or a punch in the nose? In other words, neither choice is very good, and also, don t forget, Queens is HUGE, as big as some whole cities, with both good parts and bad parts, too. But, if I HAVE to choose, I d rather live in Queens, BUT, it would have to be in the Long Island City part, which is very close to New York City, and has a lot of artist s lofts and studios in it, too.Good luck, and the link below is to a map showing Long Island City...
Queens, but only because it s so large and diverse with many different neighborhoods.
