The South tower has the better view, but the rooms have not been renovated in 25 years. They are much more likely to have minor problems, and are dark and drab. It is a tradeoff. For your extra $10 to switch to the North tower you are getting the same size room, but with new furnishings with more comfortable sitting chairs and a desk.I think they were renovated about 5 years ago. But you give up your view.
Yes its pretty simple:South has older furnishing but has a viewNorth is newer but you don t get a view
I stayed at Bally s in March 2005, in room 7125, which is the south tower. Here s a photo of the room http://www.urbanphotos.net/images/LVCD3/Here s a photo of the view from the room http://www.urbanphotos.net/images/LVCD3/I d pay the extra $10 for the north tower though. Here s a review on tripadvisor from December 2005 with photos of north and south tower rooms http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviePeople who say room quality isn t important because you don t spend much time in it should spend a few nights at Wynn or Venetian, then spend a few nights at the Gold Spike or Diamond Inn Motel and report how there was no difference between the two properties. If you can afford it, take your girlfriend to Wynn, Encore, Venetian, Palazzo, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, or one of the new CityCenter hotels (Vdara, Aria, Mandarin Oriental.) Bally s is kind of a low roller experience. Although I have no problem with staying there myself, I would never take a girlfriend there. I would only take a girlfriend or spouse to the properties I listed. Show her a spectacular time she ll never forget... don t endure mediocrity to save a few bucks.Take a look at Encore http://hubpages.com/hub/Encore-Las-Vegas
