Where in Texas is Austin located? -

I have a crappy map in front of me that doesn t list austin. It only lists Dallas. San Antonio and Houston. Is Austin near any one of these?

Austin is 3 hours south of Dallas, about 3 hours west of Houston, and 1 hour north of San Antonio. It is located in the central Texas/hill country region.I hope this helps!

I live in Austin, TX. It is a little south of being the center of TX, about 3 and half hours drive from Dallas and about the same from Houston. It is a beautiful city, versatile in lots of ways, but the traffic is awful, and the drivers are rude. The weather is changeable, mild most of the year except the summer is VERY hot and dry...the suburbs are nice and the freeway with tolls is crowded, but is the way it is....

Austin is about a 1.5 hour drive north of san antonio, so about 90 miles or a little more I would say. The main highway running through it is I-35 and I would suggest you not come through it between the hours of 4-7pm because of horrible rush hour traffic, or anytime on a saturday between 10-12pm (football game)

Try a better map. You have the Internet, right?I m constantly amazed that people who have mastered the art of asking questions on Yahoo Answers can t use a damned search engine.
