What would be a good reason to move to NYC? -

Tons of job and opportunities, and the education is great, we have some of the best education policies in the US, also we have the most Specialized High Schools in the entire country.

JOBS. there are tons of job opportunities. if you have a degree, you can get a job. if you dont have a degree, ...u can still get a job. hahaha. FOOOD. tons of food. all different types of food. PEOPLE. all different types of people from different cultures and backgrounds. i love new york. the parades, the parties.. the transportation. you dont need a freekin car to get around. i mean, you can have one, but if you dont have a car, guess what? its not the end of the world. thousands of people take the mass transit system. and dont be scared to walk through the other boroughs..other than manhattan. manhattan is beautiful, but if you want a taste of different cultures, go to brooklyn also..i cant speak for queens or bronx etc. im a brooklyn and manhattan person. but NYC is great.. ---the only con i can think of is that rent is freekin HIGH. 800 dollars for a studio!!! 2 bedroom? umm that would be about 1000 or higher.. so yea.... i dont know about that.. but other than that its pretty cool. =)

just the overall convenience of being in a city, and the resources one can find there.

No clue! West? Southside?....? -

Can somebdoy explain this to me? What do people mean when they re talking about the Westside, Southside, East, and Northside? For example, Logan Square...I have no idea what side that s on.I plan on moving there in a few months and I m trying to learn this stuff, so please help.What s on...1) the Westside2) Southside3) Northside4) East

The city center is at State Madison. Everything increases and decreases from there, north, south east and west. Logan square would be northwest and can be a very dangerous place in certain sections. You should get guidance from either a realtor (if you ll be buying a house) or an apartment locator for help in picking out a neighborhood. Most newcomers live in the near north, Lincon Park or Lakeview neighborhoods.

The west side is basically everything west of western, north of the Eisenhower expressway, and south of diversey, south side is everything south of roosevelt. and the northside is everything else. Since Chicago has a lake to the east, the east side is almost never talked about but it s everything east of stony island. But the west side is disputed confusing and confusing, the lower west side http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lower_West_�� is often called the south side and sometimes called the west side, Lawndale is usually considered the west side but has streets south of roosevelt. the west side is low income.the southside is low income.the northside is sexually confused and yuppified. and crowded,the east side is so hidden, no one knows.

Where can I find a music internship in NYC? -

I m extremely interested in finding an internship this summer (2010) with some kind of music-related part, preferably with a record label.I can only work in NYC and am still a high school student (going into senior year after the summer.)Please, if anyone has an idea of where I can send in a resume or anything, help would be greatly appreciated!
