Im looking for reviews of Las Vegas apartments? -

I m looking at possibly moving to Vegas and would like a nice apartment in a safe part on town. I would be working at one of the hotels there. Does anyone have any imput on either The Boulders at Lone Mountain or Alexan Cheyenne? Any information or recomendations would be appreciated. Also, could you please tell me what life is like outside the strip?

The boulders is a very nice area. Its a little ways from the strip but well wort it.There is an even better brand spanken new place a litte further to the north west on the edge of the development.Any place on the west side west of durango is nice as well lots a shoping and eats.Life outside the strip is like any other suberb.Awsome weather ,dry climate,no bugs, sunny almost everyday, and a good jumping off place for Scal,S UT.Best of luck.

You seem confident on getting a job here in Vegas. There really aren t jobs to be had. For every single job opening there are 100 well qualified applicants who already live here. They prefer to hire people who have lived here awhile rather than someone who just moved here. Off the strip life is like any other big city except the way traffic zips by at fast speeds. You better read this web page.

How can I be a bus driver in New York City? -

Assuming you mean driving an MTA bus in NYC, it s a civil service job, you take a competitive qualifying exam. You can get that far without any specific experience or even a commercial drivers license (though you need a clean driving record and a valid basic operator s license). The bad news is that the next set of exams, which were scheduled for January, have been postponed. I guess the MTA s current budget problems are the reason for that:http://www.mta.info/nyct/hr/compete.htmMany other questions about the hiring process after the test can be answered here:http://www.nyctransitforums.com/forums/s

If you mean for the MTA, you have to take a test, and outperform as many people as you can. You get a score, which puts you in a percentile, and when your number is called, you get an interview. Provided you aren t a retard, you should easily be able to get a 90% or better, and further provided again you aren t retarded, if you make it to the interview phase, your chances on getting the job is almost definite. As far as licenses are concerned, you would need to get a Bus operators license, which you would do at the DMV.

Aim higher.Look fir the MTA Train Operator exam. It is open competitive which means that thaey don t expect you to know anything, just to be able to read and process text, charts, graphs, schematics, schedules, etc. They always give you the answe then ask the question.Once accepted you would enter a six month training program. It is not easy, but you don t want weaklings operating trains. the job can be quite rewarding. Fun, too..

lol. Better Question: Why??? Jk, you have to get a special liscence, so first call your local DMV they should be able to point yoiu in the right direction.

Get a CDL and apply.

NYC WOODHULL HOSPITAL AREA!!? -

I m moving to Brooklyn, to work at Woodhull area, can someone please tell me the area around it? I m not hearing the best of things about it [the projects, bad area, high crime] I was just wondering where should I live...I m a 24 year old female who is living alone..can someone please tell me the best areas to live and what places to avoid...I wouldn t mind taking the metro to another place for safety and comfort..I just want to know how safe the surrounding area is and the metro station. Thanks!!

Well, the areas you want to avoid living in are:The projects, and anything that is south of Broadway from around Lorimer St and East of that.Otherwise, the area around Woodhull is safe.Woodhull is in Bushwick, but is very close to Williamsburg. If you want to move into that area, I suggest you move into Williamsburg. Williamsburg is very safe to live in.However, if you walk around the waterfront at night (Kent, Berry, and Wythe area) keep an extra eye out, and don t walk around the projects at night. As for transportation, the closest subway lines to Woodhull are the J,M and Z. There are also bus lines such as the B43, the B48, The B57, etc.If you have any other questions, feel free to message me here. I live in Greenpoint, but I am in Williamsburg and Bushwick a lot and I know those areas better than the back of my hands.
