Wheres the better place to live ? Hood River or Corvalis? -

You re talking about two very different areas. The only thing they have in common is that they are small Oregon towns.Hood River is on the Columbia, with a focal point on windsurfing, water sports, and tourism. It is often windy and cool due to its location.Corvalis is a college town (OSU), located inland, in a far more rural setting. It has a warmer climate, and no offense to the locals, a bit less to offer as far as scenery.As far as quality of life, crime, economy in both places, I see nothing significantly different about them. Corvalis might have slightly higher crime rates due to the college.

What makes a place better to live ? Schools? Entertainment? Recreation? Cost of living?
