Where do quot; classyquot; couples go for new years eve in cleveland ? -

Me and my b/f is looking for a gala long formal dress and black tie event for new years eve ?were still in our twenties but we don t want to be stuck in a club with a bunch of young ones, booty chasers. You get the idea just somewhere maybe an orchestra or a nice band maybe a 30 s and up crowd would be nice mostly of couples. I m not from cleveland so I don t know the area. So where should we go any ideas ?

If you would like to celebrate New Year s Eve in one of the world s most acclaimed concert halls with an orchestra, consider a Severance Hall New Year s Eve with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra. Dancing in the Grand Foyer begins at 11 p.m.!http://events.ohio.com/cleveland-oh/evenThis event usually sells out.http://www.clevelandorchestra.com/purchaOther possibilities include Windows on the River or Landerhaven:http://windowsontheriver.com/http://www.executivecaterers.com/abo+upcYou also could check out one of the upscale hotel packages:http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Propertieshttp://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Propertieshttp://www.marriott.com/hotels/hotel-deaIf you like samba, there is Srgos SARAV BAR New Year s Eve Samba Party:http://www.sergioscleveland.com/Happy 2010!

To tell you the truth I do not think that Cleveland has anything like that. I am from New york and the only thing I found you can do in this city is drink. If you know someone in a suburb of cleveland like westlake, or medina and see if a country club is doing anything.

the only place that would have something like that, you would need an invitation for and it would probably be a club such as Shoreby on the lake. other than that its not likely youll find anything

not many places for that. maby an expensive steak place ( idk the name of one)

if you need to ask, well you know the rest.

The most formal public events most likely include those at Severance Hall with the Cleveland Orchestra, or upscale downtown hotels such as the Ritz Carlton, Marriot, Intercontinental or Renaissance Hotel. I understand the atmosphere you are looking for, but even though these are formal, they might still be optional black tie. In addition, I think they might draw an older crowd for the most part.Windows on the River - well known banquet facility downtown with great views of the skyline -or the Nautica Queen - a popular Lake Erie touring cruise ship - have well known New Years Eve events that include dinner, dancing and drinks. This might be a good fit with a fun, younger crowd, but still tasteful. Cocktail attire is probably what s appropriate for these events. Most upscale restaurants downtown or in the city, will most likely have a New Years package. The key to ensuring a more sophisticated evening - though cocktail attire is still more appropriate to black tie - is to pick the most upscale restaurants downtown. Lola s, Johnny s Downtown, Blue Point, XO, Morton s, or Hyde Park. However, they probably only have dinner packages, and assume the crowd may ring in the New Years at the more upscale hotel bars. Nighttown is a fantastic spot on the east side that is actually a world renowned Jazz club. The music, food, atmosphere are all fantastic. No idea if they have a New Years Party for sure, but this would be a nice place to check. If I were you, I d make your reservations fast if you plan on doing something more formal.
