If you are wanting to base your holiday at Walt Disney World you can travel by public transport to Universal but allow 60-90 mins. The Lynx bus number 50 travels from Walt Disney World to SeaWorld, change to Lynx number 8 (ask for a transfer ticket when boarding for one fare of $2) which will go up International Drive. If you get off at Wet n Wild, Universal is 15 minute walk away. Most hotels have shuttle buses to the parks but they can take a while as there are many pick ups.You can also use the I Trolley which links SeaWorld, Wet n Wild, and the shopping malls. My son prefers the roller coasters and we like to base our holiday in International Drive area which is ideal for Universal, Wet n Wild, SeaWorld and aquatica. We travelled by Lynx bus to Disney a few times but took a while. If you have young children I would recommend hiring a car if you are traveling from Disney to Universal more than a couple of times ( about 30 min drive). Budget $14 per day for park parking.I ve been a few times and found the buses cheap and reliable, I would not hire a car unless you where planning to do some long trips to Miami and Everglades.Have funCheck out this site for more infohttp://orlandorollercoaster.com/
Well, to do this you MUST stay at a Disney owned hotel/resort. There is buses to every park and water park and Downtown Disney from all Disney owned hotels. From Every park, water park, and Downtown disney, there is a station for the bus that can take you back to your hotel. Also, some hotels, like The Yacht and Beach club, The Swan and Dolphin, and Disney s Boardwalk Resort you can take a boat to some parks, in this case, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot! They come around every 15 minutes!
It s possible, but it will limit your options.Disney and Universal have on-site hotels and, if you focus your vacation on those report complexes, then you don t need a car.The Iride Trolley links Universal and SeaWorld and the tourist strip in between. And if you want to visit somewhere farther afield you can always call a taxi.
Well its hard to walk so thats not really an option (unless you have very comfy shoes and can walk in extreme temperatures haha)Hotels provide transport yes (depending on which one you go to.) You can t really get buses as they only run in between the parks and the hotels. You can get a taxi though, thats probably the best option of getting around.I wouldnt bother getting around with no car though as you cant go where you want when ever you want as you cant really walk.
If you stay on site at WDW getting around without a car is very easy. The bus transportation is very reliable. To go off site you would have to take a taxi or mears shuttle. I have read that mears has a pick up at one of the downtown disney hotels. This would not be the same as sneaking onto the transportation of a hotel you aren t staying, as others have accused in the past. Mears charges per passenger and rents the space at the hotel. You would have to contact them directly for their information.http://www.mearstransportation.com/
It really depends on where you re staying. Some resorts (off-property) provide shuttle transport to the theme parks and some do not. You need to check with the resort before booking your vacation.
I would say the IRIDE it takes you where you need to go and its only $1 I always use it when im on holiday there!!
