What area of the Outer Banks is the nicest area to vacation? -

There are a number of great areas, but my personal favorite is Ocracoke Island. Accessible from Cape Hatteras by ferry or from the mainland at Swans Quarter. The thing I like about Ocracoke is that about 95% of the beaches are part of the national park and therefore not commercially developed and relatively pristine. Plus the island has a very colorful history - pirates galore!!Info:http://www.ocracokeguide.com/http://www.ocracokevillage.com/http://www.ocracoke-nc.com/

This is a tough question for someone like me. I like the whole area. For family vacations we like to stay in Duck. It s nice and quite without over crowded beaches. But the busier Nags Head and Kitty Hawk area is a short drive if you are looking for things to do.If I go for strictly a fishing trip then I prefer staying in Buxton, because of the great fishing at the Hatteras Point. You may want to check out this web site. I ll give you the url to a page that has some information about each of the communities. http://www.exploring-the-outer-banks.comHope this helps.Have a great vacation at the Outer Banks.
