Transportation from Port Authority to JFK? -

Hi, I am trying to find the best way to get from Port Authority to JFK. I have searched the NY Airport Service, but their routes take well over an hour. I have the time if this is the best option, but i was wondering if anyone knew of a faster (keeping money in mind) way, if there even is one. I know traffic can be hectic.Thank you!!!

Amanda, just what the last post said. There are two ways to get from PA Bus Terminal to JFK fast and cheap.Option 1: You can take the E train (Blue Line on the subway map) from the Bus Terminal to Suphin Blvd/Jamaica Station, where transfer can be made to the Airtrain. The one way fare will cost you $7.25 ($2.25 on the subway and $5 on the Airtrain) and the trip take about 45 minutes. You can purchase a $7.25 regular MetroCard at the Bus Terminal for use on both the subway and the Airtrain.Option 2: You can take the downtown (southbound) A , C or E subway lines (Blue Line) from the Bus Terminal to Penn Station, where a transfer to Long Island Railroad. Take the LIRR from Penn Station to Jamaica Station, where a transfer can be again to the Airtrain. The fare on the subway and Airtrain is the same as the first option ($7.25), and the one way off fare on the LIRR is $5.75. The trip take about 20 minutes.I hope this information very helpful.Good luckNative New Yorker
