Aspen is extremely expensive and limited to skiing. denver is great to visit. Fantastic zoo and museum, great restaurants, lots of places to visit. If you want to ski...unless you are a millionaire, choose someplace else than Aspen or Vail. See sites below for places to see in Denver. Colorado springs is an hour south and also great. If you like outdoor activities, the town of estes park is an hr and a half north of Denver, charming, and right next to Rocky Mountain National Park...great place.
None of it is too awfully exciting. The best part about Colorado is the mountains. If you re going in the summer consider visiting Garden of the Gods , or driving to the top of Pike s Peak.In the winter enjoy throwing snowballs at children and starting fires. Also weed is legal in Boulder.Basically what more could you want?Skiing, pshh!
I went to Colorado in September and we stopped in Colorado Springs and we are definitely going back b/c we missed a bunch! Had fun though with what we did see and we drove through Aspen, very nice town. Check out http://www.pikes-peak.com/Default.aspx for more tourist attractions to do in Colorado Springs!
