Which has a better Chinatown, NYC or Boston? Also, which would be cheaper, and safer? -

Chinatown NYC is much larger than Chinatown Boston. Our Chinatown is about 8 blocks and is mixed asian at this point. NYC Chinatown has over 200 restaurants: Boston s maybe a dozen or so. I think there s only one herbal shop in Boston s Chinatown. Many of the traditional Chinese have moved south to Quincy. Chinatown Boston s best thing going for it? It s here. Easily accessible. Fun for an afternoon. But if you are a tourist looking to visit, Manhattan s Chinatown (or San Francisco s) are much better. Safe and cheap? It s a city.

New York by far. However, you should also be aware that New York has 3 large Chinatowns: the original in lower Manhattan and now 2 more in Queens even larger.

yeah, in Boston, a lot of the Chinese moved out and it s disperse.
