San Francisco cheap car rental for Xmas holidays. It looks os expensive..? -

I am vacationing from Dec25-29 at SF, Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. When I looked for rental cars from SFO airport, its 35$ per day. Right now, for next week end (Dec5) I can see last minute deals from SFO at around 20$ per day. Is it going to go down by that time or is it in 30 s during holidays at SFO airport? Any suggestions to rent cars from 25-29 in a cheap price is appreciated.Thank you

Car rentals in most cities are $60, $70 and even $80 per day. Sometimes even $100. Good luck finding anything cheaper. BTW, if you want to go to Tahoe, frequently chains are required (and cost extra). Do yourself a favor and enjoy the no snow winters of SF. Inside SF, no car is needed especially if you are on vacation.

It will only go up the closer to the date you get. $35 is actually a pretty good deal for a holiday daily rate.
