The only part of that really you don t have to worry about large amounts of snowfall is the first ( last ? ) 75 miles from the UT/CO state-line .All of of the rest of I-70 until the CO/KS state-line can and does get hit by blizzards.Do yourself a favor and do not underestimate the danger of winter on the Plains
There s some snow on the road, in a few weeks it will be the same, just colder. It s usually very manageable. (this is the mountain stretch)like was said, on the plains it could go either way
