Moving to the USA?..? -

hi,I live in Canada right now and I m in grade 11. I want to go to California for college but I know it will be very expensive if i go just right after i finish high school in Canada. So I was wondering about the rules / regulations / processes that I d have to know about if my mom and I moved to the U.S.A so I can finish my last year of high school in the USA so that college in California will be cheaper. (that s what I ve heard at least) . Anyways if we do move to the USA, it would be sometime this summer. I will be 17 but since my mom doesn t really want to move to the USA, I told her she can move back to Canada after I turn 18 ( feb. 2011). I want to know what stuff we would have to go through so that I can live there pernamently and my mom can live there temporary. I also want to know if it s possible for me to just move by myself to the states this upcoming summer. Here are the things I want to know specifically - What paperwork needs to be done for my mom and I to live in the USA? (I will be there pernamently and my mom will be there temporary) and also how long it will all take- Can I live alone in the USA at age 17 and a half if my parents are supporting me financially in another country?-Will college in California be cheaper if I lived in the USA for a year? I d appreciate any answers to these questions. Thank you
