If you go to the tree lighting, get there at least an hour before it starts.I am not going to go. I don t want to stand outside for a long time while being wedged between a lot of people to see the tree being lit.Besides, they cover this on T.V, and I would rather see it from home.Also, remember the tree is up for a long time, so I am in no rush to go see it being lit on the first night.
Watching it at home is just fine for me.If you can manage the cold, long standing and the expected crowd, get there by 3:00 PM.
If you re going to go, get there early. I used to work across the street and by 5 people would be standing in the middle of the street already. If you want to get a good view, I highly suggest getting there around 3.
