Have you ever been to Grace Cathedral in San Francisco? if you have what did you think of it? -

how does it look inside?

It is a traditional cathedral built in the shape of a cross with a lovely rose window at the eastern end. The vaulted ceilings make for amazing acoustics. The church is a unique combination of the religious and the humanist with two labyrinths, two very different styles of stained glass that include non religious figures and a mention of Einstein s theory of relativity. The bronze doors are one of three sets in the world cast from Lorenenzo Ghiberti s 1542 Doors of paradise. You can visit them on the web at:http://www.gracecathedral.org/welcome/ov The web site includes a slide show of the church.

It s magnificent. Well worth the steep walk up Knob Hill. Here s the website.

It is a wonderful building. My mother did most of the needle point up on the alter.
