i always fly on Christmas eve and i find that it is not as busy as Thanksgiving. sometimes i m wondering is it because there are few Christians on this planet earth. be at the airport 2 hours before your departure. you will not care for sure if it is a long wait as long as you get to your destination.
Christmas Eve is not as busy as around Thanksgiving, but the weather is typically worse. If you have not yet purchased your ticket allow extra time between flights (if connecting). There are also more people traveling with lots of luggage. Check-in online if possible, and try to fly with only carry-ons.Always get to the airport two (2) full hours before your flight.
Just remember you will have significantly MORE inexperienced travelers holding up lines on Christmas Eve than at other times during the year.
No one wants to travel on Christmas Eve. They want to spend the day and night with their families. So most people make their plans to travel earlier in the week.
Very very very busy i d expect.
