Where can i complain about bct fares in broward? -

About Broward County Transit in Florida. It is ridiculous about the bus fare rising

You can t. I tried to complain about something related to your post when I used to live in Broward but there s no one you can talk to and nothing you can do. I would say it s because there isn t any mass transit in Broward (besides the ridiculous expensive, slow, bad service buses) and no one uses it (every time I used it the bus never came close to 25% full) so they don t even bother. Honestly, and this is honestly and 100% truth, if anyone, and I mean if ANYONE wants to use or uses transportation, they can t live in places like Broward, in Florida, especially South Florida, you have to live in Miami-Dade, that s the only place in South Florida with a mass transit, and if you want to call what they have in Broward and Palm Beach mass transit in any way, then Miami-Dade is the only place that has a good mass transit, and one that actually works. And just so you know, the Miami 21 project was approved and will take full effect in early February 2010, and one of the main things that Miami 21 is doing is making Miami-Dade s mass transit on par with the New York City mass transit. I, honestly cannot wait for Miami 21 to officially go into effect (I say officially because they have already started doing certain things, but the official date is February 14 or 19, 2010) Oh and some of Miami-Dade s mass transit are even FREE!EDIT: If it is lower in Broward which if it is it s only 50 cents, id because nobody uses it in Broward so they can t charge more, and that s the price in New York City and EVERYBODY uses it.

Thanks to the Real Estate collapse which effects real estate tax receipts, and the recession which effects sales tax receipts, the two largest revenue sources, Broward County is suffering a tremendous income shortfall. So it must cut subsidies for such services as public transit. Even then its basic bus fare is still only $1.50 (even less with a multi-day or trip pass) while Miami - Dade is $2.00, as is New York City.
