Things to do/see in Chicago? -

going to Chicago next weekend and interested in some ideas of what to do, and where to stay. Not into the club scene but would like to be close to some nice chill bars and in a good part of town.

Art Institute would be best!

There are tons of things to do in this wonderful city, we have the best museums such as the art institute and the museum of science and industry, we have 2 great zoos, lincoln park zoo and brookfield zoo. Also the best architecture including, of course the sears tower but also the frank lloyd wright house and the john hancock building, our downtown is filled with tall buildings, there are also tons of parks Urbs in Horto is our motto city in a garden in downtown there are two big parks that are connected to each other millenium and grant park, millenium park has the bean and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, however you re coming during a season that isn t very pleasant, but if you re tough or from alaska then you might want to sit through a bears game at soldier field. Chicago also is home to a mile full of overpriced brand name stores and a few humongous malls on the magnificent mile. You might also want to check out the Second City comedy club, and no trip to Chicago is complete without a ride on the L and without trying our dishes, head over to portillo s in the nightlife area of downtown for some great Chicago-style hot dogs, or go down to Taylor street and try some italian beef and go to other italian restaurants down there, and you can t forget to try the Chicago pie at giordano s, pizzeria uno, or lou malnati sI hope this helped and have a good time in Chicago!

Where are you staying?? There are a lot of museums to see and TONS of lounges that you can visit that has live music (or not). There is the Sears Tower also and lots of things to do within the city itself. The city actually has more broadway shows than NY (it s a fact). Travel is very easy throughout the city also.Lastly, they offer a free tour guide from locals who can also help you out. it s done by locals who volunteer their time. Called Chicago Greeter. You can google them. Definately do the food thing also to check out some of the unique foods such as pizza and hotdogs and italian beefs.Mostly, just have fun and enjoy the view of the lake. It s better in the summer... but, just buddle up.

You should stay in the Best Western Grant Park Hotel.Try this site for things to do/see:http://www.chicagotraveler.com/attractioSite get s UPDATED for new stuff coming up..
