Which Las Vegas grocery store has the cheapest turkey this year? -

I m shopping for Thanksgiving dinner, looking for a whole bird -- preferably Butterball. I m also a member of Costco and Sam s Club.

Albertson s has a coupon in their weekly ads flyer for $10 off any of their Villlage Market brand turkeys, if you would consider other than Butterball. I was just there. The normal price is 99 a pound, so a 14-lb. bird would be $14 minus $10 = $4 (with a minumum $25 purchase). There was NEVER any butter in a Butterball turkey. It s just their brand name, it has nothing to do with butter. It just means it s tender I guess. And there is NO lard in them now. Where do people come up with these things????

Vons has them for $8 up to 16 lbs, $10 for over 16 lbs. Smiths has them for $10 for 16-20 lbs. Both stores require a minimum $25 purchase to get them at these prices.Regarding the above lard comment -- this must be an old wive s tale. According to the label, the ingredients are: Turkey, Water, Salt, Modified Food Starch, Sodium Phosphates, Natural Flavorings. If the FDA found out they were lying about the ingredients, they d be in a heap of trouble.

Vons has generic turkeys for $5 and up. Realize that the Butterball is basted with lard NOT butter

smiths has a $5 was there today.

right now smiths.
