Picking someone up from Union Station in Chicago, somewhere I can park my car in the meantime? -

My boyfriend is taking the train to Chicago and I m going to pick him up around 10:30 am. I was wondering if anyone knows a place where I could park that s a decent distance (I m not looking to be right in front of union station, we can walk a bit) from the train station and where I don t have to pay. I know this is probably a lot to ask but if anyone has any ideas, even if you have to pay, just let me know. Thanks.

Right across the street on the opposite side of canal street there is a huge indoor parking lot where you can park and i think if you get you ticket validated its free there is a small Indian restaurant/cafe there called The Village where you can go and buy a coke and they will validate your ticket and you can park for i think its 45 mins.

In that area you have to pay unfortunately down the street is a parking lot that charges eight bucks an hour. Time your schedule right and you will not have to pay allot two minutes late is a additional eight bucks.
