I live in South Carolina. i don t know what part your friend lives in but Downtown Charleston is very beautiful and historic. we have a few beaches that are close by, it s a little cold for the beach now but it s still pretty! It s definitely a tourist town. There are kinds of tours you can go on like ghost tours, historic tours, or you can ride in a horse-drawn carriage ha. and if your mom likes to shop, King street has a ton of really nice stores. But yeah, just tell your parents about all that stuff.
Sounds like my parents haha- and we can never agree on places to go because NC is so boring (and we live in Charlotte- so the beach is too far for a quick trip and we hate the mountains (my parents love em ugh!). In any case, ya the beach is about it- Myrtle Beach and also Hilton Head- but I suspect that neither are any different than Va Beach- ive been to both and no reason to go out of your way really for them. You could try Charleston- its pretty cool, if your into history its got a lot including the first shots fired for the civil war. Hope that helps.
Uhhh....Where in South Carolina? I know that there s lots of beaches. I pass through there every year, and I notice (at/around I-85) that there s a good bit of lakes. Both would make for a good trip, but I don t see that happening in the winter. As far as I know, no mountains, so you couldn t go on a ski trip. I think a good website would be www.scnextdoor.com.
