Going to Miami with an expired ID card? -

So im going to Miami to south beach in a couple of days, and I really wanted to check out the whole club scene down there. My drivers license is expired however, and I have no time to get a new one now. It expired in August i believe.. Is there any way for me to get in anywhere? Or will I definitely get turned Away?

You might be let in but if you are looking to drink, it is illegal to sell alcohol to someone with an expired license/ Id.To the guy below me: it is illegal, it may sound stupid but I didn t make the law that s just the way it is. An expired ID/license is the easiest way to get a fake IDAn expired ID is no longer a valid ID

it is illegal to sell alcohol to someone with an expired license/ Id That makes no sense. It s not a drinking license; its a driver s license. No one is required to have a driver s license unless he is driving. All that is required is that the purveyor of alcoholic beverages not sell to a person under the age of 21. The law allows him to escape criminal or civil liability, for having unintentionally done so if he or his agent require a reasonable proof of age as a condition of sale. It does not have to be a driver s license. Many people do not have drivers licenses. Passports, picture visas, military or state ID cards, pilots licenses, many other things are generally acceptable. While a given purveyor, to inhibit fraud, may insist that an ID or license presented to it for ID purposes be unexpired, I am aware of no legal prohibition to accepting expired licenses as identification.

for a license to be considered VALID it has to be updated not expired, same things as a credit card. this being sobe some people might allow it some might not the bottom line is you cant argue with those guerillas that are bouncers they dont want to hear your problems so it can potentially ruin your vacation why risk it? just be prepared for anything but an expired license is like an expired anything (not valid)! legally they might be able to do it but a lot of owners dont want the BS
